Anthony was contracted to lead research and development where he created an edible bioplastic straw that looks & performs identical to plastic straws, yet naturally degrade in 60 days or can be eaten. Anthony designed & performed formulation trials until a seaweed-based edible film technology was created to last over 12 hours in water.

Anthony invented an edible material made with safe food ingredients to serve as a durable, biodegradable, and delicious replacement to petroleum plastics. The first product made with the material was a spoon.
